The 2020 Professional Program will begin September 29. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis until the class is full. If you are interested in the one-year program, please read the details and complete the Admissions Form available below.

To be considered for admission, students must:
  • Applicant must be 18 years of age on or before September 29, 2020
  • Provide proof of high school graduation, GED, and/or relevant experience (Transcripts sent from organization)
  • Complete Admissions Form
  • Submit Personal Essay and Resume
  • Provide 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Be proficient in English
  • Complete a background check administered on behalf of SVC
  • Pay $100 Application fee via check or money order

Application Timeline

  1. February 15, 2020, Application opens, rolling enrollment
  2. Applicants receive notification within 6 weeks of submission
  3. Accepted students determine need for Financial Assistance
  4. Financial Assistance Packet sent to student (when applicable)
  5. 30 days to guarantee space in class and pay down payment
  6. Officially enrolled, receive Student Welcome Packet

Financial Assistance

Students accepted into the Professional Program have the opportunity to receive financial assistance. You will have the option to apply for financial assistance after being accepted, but before committing. SVC seeks to make culinary education accessible for all income backgrounds through merit and needs-based funding.
